The Nike Air Huarache Deep Magenta Trainer Revives Another OG Colourway
The Nike Air Huarache Deep Magenta trainer is arguably one of the most recognisable colourways of the early 90s runner.
If you weren’t already aware, 2021 marks the official 30th anniversary of the Nike Air Huarache trainer. Following a brief revival back in the early twenty tens, the Nike Air Huarache is officially back on the sneaker radar. So far we’ve been treated to a plethora of OG colourways such as ‘Scream Green’ & ‘Bright Mango’ which dropped a few months back. For July 2021, OG fans are treated to what is arguably one of the most recognisable colourways of the early 90s runner with the re-release of the Nike Air Huarache Deep Magenta trainer.
Following on from the huge success of the Nike Air Max 1, the Air Max Light and the Air Max 90, the Air Huarache landed on the scene back in 1991. With its sock like construction the Huarache was nothing like the world had seen before. An original Tinker Hatfield design, Hatfield’s main inspiration came from the sock like fit of the neoprene material used on water ski boots after a water skiing trip. The outer featured added support from the plastic heel strap with the comfort of Air sole technology underfoot. The Huarache became an instant hit.
Now re-introduced in the classic ‘Deep Magenta’ colourway straight outta 91′, the OG Huarache features mesh uppers with leather overlays and the all important neoprene sock liner. Other highlights include Air cushioning and the signature heel strap the rear. The Nike Air Huarache ‘Deep Magenta’ trainer launches today from a range of retailers we work with.
