For March 2021, Nike have now introduced an exclusive ‘Fried Chicken’ inspired Air Max 90 trainer drawing inspiration from the fast food favourite.
From some mighty munch at your local McDonald’s to piling on the pounds at Pizza Hut, we all have a guilty pleasure for a bit of fast food. The Air Max trainer has already seen its fair share of food inspiration over the years from DQM’s Air Max 90 ‘Bacon’ trainer which re-launches this year to a customised Bic Mac Air Max 1. This time around however the original Tinker Hatfield shoe gets a ‘Fried Chicken’ makeover courtesy of inspiration from Japan’s FamilyMart convenience store, Famichiki.
Drawing inspiration from the Fried Chicken packaging used for the store, the AM90 gets a ‘Finger Licking’ makeover complete with removable fast food wrapper layers to the toe box and collar. When the layers are torn away a fried chicken inspired brown suede is revealed. Whether you want to reveal the tasty chicken treat on your trainers is entirely your call!
The Nike Air Max 90 ‘Fried Chicken’ trainer will be launching on Friday 19th March 2021 from a range of retailers we work with. Also don’t forget to subscribe to mint. & follow @the_mint_mag to keep up to date with all the latest apparel, footwear & everything else in between.
